Ananda Nagar is situated in the northeastern part of India, in the heart of the Rarh region. It is one of the most underdeveloped regions of India, encompassing Purulia and the neighboring districts of Bengal, Singhbhum, as well as the adjoining areas of Bihar and Jharkhand. However, Rarh was the starting point of civilization and was once covered by dense forests.
